Dr. Yuchin Chang received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Baylor University in 2003 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Delaware in 2006. She has been treating people with Myofascial Pain Syndrome since she began practicing and has expanded her specialties to treating pelvic floor pain and pelvic dysfunction.
She is board certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and Women's Health Specialist (WCS). She also holds a Certification for Trigger Point Dry Needling. She is a Member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and belongs to both the APTA Section on Women’s Health and the APTA New Jersey Special Interest Group on Women’s Health. She is also a member of International Pelvic Pain Society.
Through her years of clinical practice, she has come to appreciate the contribution of multiple components to chronic pain and pelvic floor dysfunction and developed a unique perspective and approach. She considers neural, muscular, articular, visceral, lymphatic, biomechanical, and postural components and educates her clients on the interplay between different systems and body parts. She believes in empowering her clients through postural awareness, mindful movements, and customized home exercise programs. As part of her unique approach, she has cultivated her manual skills to be gentle and effective. She has maintained her enthusiasm for deepening the understanding of the human body’s systems through frequent continuing education courses. She enjoys working with clients suffering from chronic myofascial pain and pelvic floor dysfunction and gets great satisfaction from helping them along their journey of healing.
